Spicy Salento peppers from I Contadini
The spicy croissant peppers are grown in the open field between the end of May and the beginning of June. The harvest takes place with several passages between August and October, due to the peculiarities of this plant. They are washed, selected, depicciolate, cut into rings and matured in salt. And then, without adding other ingredients, they are put in extra virgin olive oil. It is a procedure that requires wisdom and care, because this is the only way that our hot pepper reaches the tables all year round.
