Punta Aquila of Tenute Rubino

Primitivo Punta Aquila is an intense and concentrated wine, which has benefited from a short aging in oak barrels. Its color is a dark ruby ​​tending towards garnet. On the nose there are fragrant notes of cherries in alcohol, blackberry, blueberry and currant jam, rhubarb, humus, tobacco, ginger, black pepper and aromatic herbs.

On the palate, the wine has a decisive, coherent and dynamic gustatory impact, with a fascinating minerality that blends with the powerful structure of the fruit, the vigorous acid push and with the tannins already pleasant and exuberant.

Punta Aquila is a wine that prefers important dishes based on game and medium and long-aged cheeses. It is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 16-18 °C and to use a glass full-bellied for important red wines to fully appreciate its characteristics.
